AP2 / APPLICATIONS

This is our core business, the area in which we boast the greatest number of projects and achievements. We cover the entire tire production chain, from mixing rooms to preheating lines, from tread extrusion lines to the production of beads.

We have acquired wide experience in the production of both textile and metal semi-finished products, which, along with cutting and splicing the plies, contribute to the preparation of materials for tire building machines. A key stage in tire production is their construction. AP2 has gained valuable experience in tire building machines for motorcycles, scooters, cars, trucks, and agricultural vehicles.
Our expertise is further enhanced by the dimensional checks performed on finished products.

In the rubber and plastics sector, AP2 realizes automation systems for the processing of raw materials to produce semi-finished products. Their end use is intended for, flooring, gaskets, pipes, plastic and insulating films, etc.

As with the tire, the technical rubber market also requires complete control of processing parameters and production and post-production analyses. AP2 has developed specific tools capable of meeting the most stringent requirements and ensuring increasingly precise product traceability.

Historically an integral part of textile finishing, the coating market includes several production processes with very distinct characteristics.

The systems are used in industries such as automotive (airbags, truck tarpaulins, car interiors), apparel, construction, footwear, pharmaceuticals, and even conveyor belt manufacturing. Regardless of the different production processes in this field, AP2 is able to provide reliable applications with a high degree of standardization in component selection and software implementation, while remaining open to new technologies and faithful to the company’s philosophy of system integrator.

Alongside the coating sector, there is the textile finishing sector, traditionally well-established in Northern Italy.

Our production includes electrical equipment for the automation of embossing machines, calendering, drying (with thermal oil, gas, electric, and infrared ovens), precision unwinding and rewinding of semi-finished textile products, and lamination for the formation of multilayer products. AP2 also boasts specific experience in implementing control systems for textile stenter frames and other applications. In this context, the knowledge of the various processes that AP2 has acquired over the years is particularly important, allowing us to optimize resources and achieve high levels of performance and quality.
